She blinked a touch surprised by the question, perhaps only realising with it that she had been lost for a short while in the atmosphere enough to have stared without restraint. It wasn’t so bad…being in company. Still everything around her happened on a plane completely detached from her own. “Whats so interesting about me”
She couldn’t make out if it was a rhetorical question or not but it had teased well enough at the edge of her consciousness to have brought her back realising her stare. She took in the girl’s unusual colouring. Not ‘that’ unusual for this place but certainly enough to stand out of in the small collection of people here. Her hair alone seemed a statement all of its own with its contrasting colours. It was also surprising if not slightly annoying that she was unable to guess simply by looking what she was. Her best guess, which didn’t really qualify as a guess since it was far too obvious, was some canine mix…and far be it that she cross over the line of impersonal conversation to actually ask. Then there were her markings and they created questions in themselves. Something she’d never thought on but now did having been brought on by her curious actions before they had entered. What did they mean, why the self consciousness, how far up did they go and who their origins.
She hadn’t realised that she was so busy pondering on the question that she hadn’t actually answered, rhetorical or not, and she realised this with Ri’s next words. Though that wasn’t want sent the incredulous look shooting across her face; it was the shocking offer to dance. She didn’t know what to feel first, astonishment, anger or plain unadulterated disbelief. Instead they all came at once setting her face alight with a heated flush and the most endearingly lost and confused expression to have ever graced her features since she’d started the game. Her mouth sat slightly ajar before she regained her unaffected look with relative ease. “I do not engage in such a frivolous activity.” She clipped more curtly than she’d intended and then realising it. She continued after a small pause having pushed aside the heat that should she have been lighter would have covered her cheeks in a rosy hue.
“I’d much rather engage in…conversation if you really must do something to occupy your wait.” She said having paused briefly to avoid adding the word ‘idle’ and thus indicate how pointless she found such an endeavour when they would part ways soon after her meal was done. Still she usually had no problem speaking as she wished, be it rude, be it polite, or be it with a detached air. At this point she wasn’t willing to question the reason for her hesitation.
“Perhaps tell me about your markings, if you would.” She said finally giving in to at least part of her curiosity. She might get an answer and yet she might not.

Ri arched an eyebrow and sat back down "okay then now dancing talking is fine" she saw some of the looks Heaven had sent her way making her want to laugh a little but she didn't she knew some of those looks very well even more so when it revolved around her marks.
Ri looked at Heaven "my marks, i guess you could say there some that won't go away no matter how much i want them too. Or maybe you could call them something else like a curse" She traced one of the marks on her arms through the sleeve of her shirt. "other then that i can't really tell you much because i don't know much about them myself."
Ri leaned back and smiled when the food was placed on the table her dark blue eyes never leaving Heaven's silver eyes though. When the waitress stepped away Ri leaned back forward and said "but some people like to come up with there own names for me when they do see them" she lt a fang show "some call me the demon" with that she finshed and leaned back to eat her meal.

A curse…the thought took a hold within, churning itself around her mind forming new questions. Outside however she was the perfect portrayal of flat, polite interest. That was the problem with asking questions, they led to new ones.
Still to have them and not know much about them but consider them a curse. Obviously at some point she must have considered getting rid of them for her to have even spoken in a way that hinted at the possibility. They weren’t unpleasant rather artistic in a way. At least this was in her ‘completely uninterested’ view. At that thought she could almost hear Perdita’s mocking laughter as if she were there, her voice silent non-existing on a physical level but as clear as day to her ears. It had unnerved her terribly the very first time she had heard it. A ghost’s laugh was nothing like what it ought to be.
You’re just dying to ask...She would have purred against her ear, her imitation of a breath tickling her ear at the closeness, choosing to do such stupid things in situations where Heaven could not respond. After all, to all others there was nothing there. How she loved to use the ‘die’ gag any which way she could, seemingly a constant source of amusement for her.
She noticed Ri seemed to hold her gaze well enough and she knew too that no one usually held hers this long, for a reason unknown to her. She wasn’t sure what kind of look it was or even what it was accessing she thought; her suspicious self jumping to the most defensive conclusion. She gave a small nod of gratitude to the waitress her gaze not breaking off a stubborn light creeping into them as if she found it a challenge.
The smell of her soup soon put paid to any desire to continue as it sailed invitingly up her nose and filled her mind with visions of a full tummy and a mouth of flavoursome warmth. She reached for her bread breaking it in half and storing half of it away. “Why Demon?” she asked “You do not appear to be one.” And that aside from curiosity was Heaven fishing as inconspicuously as she could for information. Appearances were after all most deceiving.

Ri began to eat her salad first because it had the juicy fruit in it and was always a good way to start a meal. Looking up from her plate she smiled "i guess because i neither one nor am i the other" she looked down tail swishing "i mean ..neither of my kind really likes me they think i am the wrong kind of being i guess being i am a mix of two clans that aren't meant to blend".
She looked sad for a moment "my parents where killed because they had me ya know" she gripped the fork so hard it bent "but when your father is a werewolf and your mother is a vampire not to many people are happy about that".

Ahh… The word floated through her mind as she would have said it. Thankfully her mouth was otherwise occupied with her soup. Something she ate with restrained motions despite the fact that she wished the space in-between spoonfuls was much less. Much much less.
She did look up however when she spoke about her parents her soup forgotten for a moment. A small amount of anger mixed in with equal disgust crinkled her nose. “There is nothing wrong with being different. It isn't something to pay such a high price for.” She murmured partly to herself. Having paused in eating there was nothing in her mouth to stop her voiced thinking this time.
She fixed Ri with a gaze that held nothing at all “I apologize for the loss of your parents.” Her voice however was not as detached with a genuine empathy that was in no way pitying but matter of fact. Heaven deliberately ignored the bent fork, pretending not to notice, partly out of politeness wondering briefly if Ri had yet realized the current state of her cutlery and if she hadn’t it might be embarrassing for Ri to realise she herself had noticed.
Continuing with the same intention she said “I think it’s a rather efficient mix.” A compliment, even if a personal view too, given in a way only a socially inept person would as she returned to her meal.

Ri smiled and said "thanks i don't get that very offten its why i travel alone people worry i will suck their blood or turn them either way they don't very much like me company" Let go of the fork she grabbed a different one and began to eat slow. Once her salad was done she moved on to her noddles and began to eat them as well filling her hungry stomach.
Once done she drank her water and waited for Heaven to finish, watching the people dance she always wondered what it was like to be that close to someone but out of fear of her or her fear of them finding out who she was she hardly ever dance if any at all.

She smiled a little, a barely there lift of the corner of her mouth. She could understand that fear. It was valid…if you were so weak that simple tales of the boogieman sent you running for cover. She however had set out to never have to fear anything unless there was very good reason to. This included the intention of never being caught unawares by anything…or rather it had…
Her face warmed a little at the memory of her earlier tumble, the reminder coming so swiftly it had to have been reborn for the sole purpose of rubbishing her defiant thoughts.
Fine. She was fallible. She wasn’t unaware of the fact, she just would rather not admit to it. She may not have the over-confidence that led to ruin but she ‘was’ stubborn and that was probably just as bad. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed the simple switch over made and thought nothing more of the bent item not even considering the surprise the waitress might feel. She did also notice something else.
Ri and her study of the people dancing. Personally she found it a rather lowbrow thing more for people who liked to be the centre of attention. But there seemed to be such a longing on her face it was impossible for Heaven to not, at least for a ‘very’ minute, ‘single’ second only (if she had to admit to it) wish she wasn’t as bad at it as a newly born calf still unused to it’s legs. Still, to make such an unforgivable fool of herself…
She pushed the thought to the back of her mind deliberately ignoring it as she finished her soup. “You seem rather taken with the dancing. Why?” She queried after having watched her awhile.

Ri turned her head and looked at Heaven and blushed "you noticed me looking did ya" rubbing the back of her head she sighed "i guess i like dancing because its one of those things i will never get to experience just like a hug or a kiss" she smiled but it didn't quite reach her eyes like her normal lazy grins did.
She was just trying to put it off like many other things. Looking over to the bent fork and grabbed it bending it back into it shape, well as close as she could to its formal self. Sheepishly she hand it to the waitress when she came back over saying she had dropped it by accident and stepped on it. the waitress smiled and took it and asked if they wanted and sweets.
Ri nodded and asked for some pocky sticks "can i have some vanilla pocky sticks for the go please" the waitress nodded and looked at Heaven and asked "and you would you like anything miss"

She resisted the urge to quip ‘it was a bit hard not to’ instead she drank her water realising she’d been so taken by food she hadn’t remembered to drink. She considered a hug and a kiss and realised she’d done neither here. She had turned out perfectly fine. “You will live.” She said simply.
And because Ri’s smile was terribly lacklustre, and for some reason she felt for the girl, she added “It’s rather overrated, you have missed nothing.” It was a marvel how easily the lie came to her she found a strange unsettling smile to give, her eyes closing in a slow blink as they tended to do sometimes. An action of languid disinterest she had perfected so well it had now become something as unconscious as a normal blink in itself. Where her heart was in the right place her delivery however left a lot to be desired.
“There are so many other things to crave that you should not want to dwell on kisses and hugs and dancing. They are things that make you dependant on others.” She fell quiet as the waitress returned simply shaking her head at the question. “I am fine, thank you.” She said gently.

Ri looked at Heaven with a questioning glace "but even if it does make me needed it still would be nice i mean" she looked at Heaven and reached for her hand caressing it "could you honestly say that with out love in life it would be an easy world, could you really live for all of your life with out the touch of a loved one, of a lover" she raised the hand and leaned for almost touching her lips to it but she pulled back and let go standing she go her pocky from the waitress and left enough money on the table to cover all the food and the sweets.
Looking at Heaven she smiled "if some one asked me the that the answer would be simple, no i could not live with out it, it is as important to me as money, food, and breathing air, because with out love people wouldn't get together children wouldn't be born and parents wouldn't be as nice as they turn out to be, will most of them" she walked over to Heaven's side of the table "but to get love sometimes you have to do the daring" she leaned and quickly kissed Heaven's check moving her lips to Heaven's ear she whisper "and hope when you do some one returns those feelings".
Walking out side she sat down on a bench in front of the dinner wondering if Heaven would follow her lead and following her heart to Ri. If not Ri would just have to take her own advice and leave the girl alone and search for a new danger of love because its always hard to find someone that accepts her. When she told Heaven she was half werewolf and vampire she was glad the other girl didn't mind.

The easy way in which she'd taken her hand, touched her so freely made Heaven frown. It was a natural reaction to the intrusion upon her personal space. Something that came hand in hand with her hackles rising and at her touch they were well and truly up. Her usual reaction to such a thing would have been over the top, yet she found she did nothing but sit there like an idiot on the edge of a ‘would she or wouldn’t she’ mindset. It was lost to her how she even ended up thinking on it as opposed to pulling her hand away as if she’d come into contact with the kind of fire that could burn. It seemed longing enough for something made you able to convince others well enough to leave them speechless. That must have been why she didn’t have a ready answer to give. Thankfully the presence of the waitress meant she didn’t have to think on it further.
Until the kiss on her cheek, it was a polite enough parting but still an invasion, the audacity…the very balls of the girl. The only reason she could give for letting her continuously get away with the intrusion was that she didn’t feel threatened enough. That was as good a reason as any and the one she was sticking with. This time however she knew what she wanted to say her mind scoffing at the naivety. Children were born by the by, procreation came about even without love and parents loved their children from an inbred attachment as old as the centuries. She there was one admirable thing though she thought as she watched her leave in disbelief. She was daring, Heaven was willing to give her that much…for how dare she walk off without giving her the chance to retort. How dare she touch her in such a manner and walk off. And how dare she unsettle her and her beliefs so easily and then leave.
Heaven herself did the walking off, not the other way around and was never the one left in a most confusing tangle of emotions. The only one she could near enough equate was anger and in recognizing it she fueled it finding familiarity and comfort in it as she stalked after the girl with the intention of giving her a piece of her mind. The stubbornly un-accepting girl that she was she left the money for her meal before rising. She hurried outside dangerous eyes looking for Ri only to spot her target in the least place she expected. She actually looked a little surprised before recollecting her thoughts mouth moving before they came back into gear thus coming up with her most incoherent argument ever.
"Don't you..." She looked lost a second and then, as if grasping on to the first thing, she added "touch me like that…"
So, she thought deridingly as her words trailed off uselessly as she realized how stupid she sounded and how terribly flustered, what happened to our ‘argument’ because that was not what we were going to say. She stared at Ri as if it was all her fault before simply saying “Thank you for your company. It’s time I returned.” That said she began walking away with a small childish victory at being able to do so herself.
(ooc; i had a good breakfast this morning it seems)

Ri smirked before catching up the girl rolling her sleeves back up walking beside she asked "well how do you want me to touch then" she knew it was probably not her smartest question but this girl, Heaven she had accepted her kind and that to Ri meant she could be more then just a friend. All Ri had to do was be as nice as she could to the girl even if it meant getting screamed at or worse.
But Ri could handle that if it meant she finally got some company so after asking the question she closed her eyes and waited for the smack or screaming whichever came first. After all she just asked a personal question.

She faltered at the question almost missing a step in her perfect exit. Well perfect except for the fact that Ri had come after her. How did one achieve the whole ‘walking away’ snub if the person you were walking ‘away’ from wasn’t ‘away’ but in fact following. She was spoiling it completely and she was also asking a question that she only just realised she’d left herself wide open to.
“I would that you didn’t at all.” She muttered resisting the urge despite her irritation at having even if for a second considered where ‘would’ be adequate to touch her being such a prickly pear. She was not going to add anything further least she completely ruin any remaining of dignity, most of which she had just gleaned by executing a walk away no matter how ineffective it was turning out. And after her last reaction, one that had surprised her to say the least, she was keeping quiet and holding fast to indifference like it was her new best friend.

Ri opened her eyes she smiled she didn't get smacked or yelled at. Keeping pace with Heaven she hmmed a little tune "so no touching, not anything right" she looked over at the girl watching "so does that mean i can't touch with my hands, or just with one of my hands" Ri would win the argument one way or the other she was playing a risk though because if she lost she would lose Heaven as well.
Walking in front of the girl she used her tail and not her hand to pull the girl into an empty alley way pinning her into the wall softly she leaned forward "Heaven..."

She didn’t like that tune. She could remember tunes like those very well; they never preceded anything short of mischief or at the very least the contemplation of it. That very fact made her shoulders higher than they ought but it was subtle that instinctive movement. Heaven deliberately gave no answer to the question concentrating instead on a continued steady pace that wouldn’t give away her current unease. As usual she was a perfect picture of one who could care less and despite all the evidence to the contrary she chose to believe as such.
Her hope that Ri wouldn’t pursue this line of questioning was shattered when she sought further what she might be allowed to touch her with. Now this wasn’t a conversational route Heaven wished to follow anymore. She wanted to close the door on it but Ri didn’t seem to want to do that any time soon. Still it was lost to her why she didn’t just withdraw from her company. She could well teleport herself away. All she had to do was say it.
Heaven didn’t like being taken by surprise anymore than the fact that it was for the second time that day, by the very same girl. She hadn’t been touched true, that was obvious, and a quick scan had told her it was an alley way, the information acquired in the space of a second.
A quick analytical mind...but one that could do all else but understand why her heart missed at beat. It wasn’t fear or surprise even, though she sincerely wished it had been, she didn’t feel fear often enough and she knew surprise when she felt it. It wasn’t something she wanted to pry too much into either. If she wanted to there were many many ways she could get out of this. Some painful for its victim some not so all of these options swam round in her mind, some she might even take rather a lot of pleasure from...
And yet she simply stared back for another time that evening her expression anything but detached. “What is it you want?” She queried trying to inject as much annoyance into her voice as she could but it broke a little.
